Featured Idea: Using DNA for Data Storage

FEATURED ANSWER:

The company I am CEO of is a data storage company. What makes it different to every other company is the fact that it uses DNA and strands of DNA as a medium to store data, the data will be stored on the base of DNA strands.

According to research, one gram of DNA could store over two hundred million gigabytes. DNA can survive more than thousands of years in normal environments. This would make my company stand out because complex websites with masses of data could store all their documents on the equivalent amount of DNA to one hair.

According to research, the whole contents of the World Wide Web could be stored in one room when this becomes a reality. This could complacently change the way online companies operate.
