I’m in Grade 7 this year. Can I participate?
Unfortunately, this challenge is only for High School and TVET College students. Don’t worry though – we have a great game for Primary School learners too! You can find out more about the game Primary Champions: Young Business Mind.
I’m experiencing issues/errors on the Gaming Network. How do I contact support?
Send all questions and support requests to info@entrepreneurshipchallenge.co.za for assistance OR send your request through the Help Centre available from registered users’ profiles on the Gaming Network.
I did not receive a confirmation email after registration/My token has expired.
Have you checked your junk mail/spam folder? The confirmation mail can sometimes end up there.
If your token has already expired or you still cannot locate the confirmation email, please follow the steps below to reset your password and/or receive a new confirmation email.
1. Go to Log in page https://gamingnetwork.entrepreneurshipchallenge.co.za
and click on “Forgot Password”. Enter your email address for a password reset (aka; new confirmation email.)
2. Quickly head to your inbox and check for the link to reset your password – also look in your spam folder or junk mail in case it is there. Keep reloading your mail if it takes a while.
3. Use that new link to set a new password and then login with that.
Please note: If you don’t do this straight away you may get a ‘token expired’ message.
“School Not Found” – My school isn’t on the list. Now what?
AGEC aims to have all High Schools in South Africa participating in the entrepreneurship challenge, so all schools are welcome. If you are having trouble locating your school on the registration form, no worries! Simply email us at info@entrepreneurshipchallenge.co.za with the full School Name and Province the school is in and we’ll add it for you.
I need to update the information on my profile (new school, contact number, name change, grade change). Should I create a new account instead?
Creating a new account won’t be necessary. Email us at info@entrepreneurshipchallenge.co.za with your query and the updates you need to make and our technical support team will assist you with the updates.
Do I need to create a new profile every time the 2D Game goes live?
Absolutely not! In fact, we discourage the use of multiple accounts and participants with multiple profiles are automatically disqualified from prizes. Like any other social media network, participants must use their login details to access the same profile and participate from.
How long is the gameplay duration?
Technically, AGEC is a year ‘round movement, meaning there are constant activities to take part in and win big throughout the year! The 2D Gameplay will be available for 3 months from 1 February to 30 April, so players can start and complete the game anytime within this period. Other activities such as mini challenges will be available thereafter and announced via email to registered participants, so make sure you’re one of them.
What skills will I gain?
By completing the quests, you’ll learn almost everything you need to know about starting and running a business, from marketing to recruitment, how to read data, statistics and product development, how mobile apps are built, how revenue models work and all about the corporate world. What’s more, you’ll learn how to do business using technology and best practices in digital transformation – important, because so much more happens digitally in the post-Covid19 world.
Do I need any prior knowledge before I join? Do I need to know anything about business, accounting, or technology, in order to play the game well?
No! There is no prior knowledge of any sort required. You’ll learn everything you need to know by playing the game and participating in activities. Just come with the intention to have lots of fun in a video-game style challenge, because that is the pathway to mastering business in AGEC.
